Increased costs for aviation fuel On May 14, the SAS Group announced that ticket prices would be raised by EUR 4-6 as a result of increases in aviation fuel costs. There have subsequently been further increases in the cost of aviation fuel and these are now approximately 15-20 percent higher than at the end of May. As a consequence of this, and in line with other European and American airlines, SAS Scandinavian Airlines in Denmark and Sweden, and SAS Braathens, are increasing the fuel surcharge by EUR 2 on their domestic and European routes.
