April in brief Passenger traffic (RPK) showed an overall increase of 4,4% in April 2001 vs. April 2000 and number of passengers increased by 3,5%. Overall capacity (ASK) increased by 8,3% and passenger load factor decreased by 2,4 p.u. Most of the capacity increase is due to larger aircraft types on existing routes as no of frequencies increased by only 0,5% in April 2001 vs 2000. The demand is generally somewhat weaker caused by the weaknesses in the International economies. Measures have been taken to reduce capacity for the remaining part of the year. · Business Class traffic was up 4,8% and Economy Class was up 4,3%. · The passenger load factor decreased from 68,1% to 65,7%.
