New airline presidents appointed The Board of SAS decided on March 23 to incorporate Scandinavian Airlines within the SAS consortium and establish three independent national companies in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The international flight operations will become a separate business area within the SAS consortium. Petter Jansen named president of SAS Braathens In Norway, Scandinavian Airlines is being integrated with Braathens under the name SAS Braathens. Petter Jansen has been named president of SAS Braathens and assumes this position on April 15. Peter Jansen most recently served at DnB Retail where he was Group Executive Vice President responsible for Postbanken, Nordlandsbanken and DnB private customers and small companies. He has years of experience from the Norwegian Armed Forces and Norwegian bank operations. He is also familiar with airline operations, having served as airport manager at Fornebu Airport between 1993-1997. Presidents in Sweden and Denmark remain The new presidents of Scandinavian Airlines Denmark and Scandinavian Airlines Sweden will be the current Senior Vice Presidents Susanne Larsen in Denmark and Anders Ehrling in Sweden. The current Senior Vice President for Scandinavian Airlines International, Lars Lindgren, continues to be responsible for the new Intercontinental business area. Prior to assuming the position as Danish President for Scandinavian Airlines, Susanne Larsen was personnel director in Denmark. She has also held a number of executive positions in the field of human resources. Anders Ehrling began his career at SAS in 1985 and since then has served as marketing director for North America, head of Swedish domestic traffic and Senior Vice President of Network & Revenue Management. Lars Lindgren has formerly been responsible for Partnerships & Alliances, served as Vice President of SAS International and is a Board member in Spanair, AirBaltic, Skyways and SAS Cargo.
