SAS and Aeromexico are expanding their cooperation with a new codeshare agreement effective December 1, 2025. The partnership gives travelers from both airlines access to a wider network and enhanced benefits when flying between Mexico and Scandinavia.

With the new agreement, SAS customers can connect seamlessly from Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Oslo to Mexico City International Airport (MEX) via key gateways in the United States and Canada, including San Francisco, Boston, Newark, Seattle, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Washington D.C., and Toronto. At the same time, Aeromexico passengers gain easy access to SAS’ main destinations across Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.

“The new codeshare agreement with Aeromexico strengthens SAS’ main hub in Copenhagen and provides access to several destinations in Mexico. Travelers can now reach Mexico City, Guadalajara, Cancun, and the country’s many historical and cultural sites. This expands connectivity to Europe, Asia and North America. With SAS’ reliable operations and strong on-time performance, journeys remain smooth and predictable,” says Paul Verhagen, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at SAS.

Enhanced Connectivity and Travel Benefits

Through the agreement, travelers will enjoy single-ticket journeys and through-checked baggage, ensuring smooth and efficient travel experiences. Members of SAS EuroBonus and Aeromexico Rewards will benefit from reciprocal SkyTeam privileges, including earning and redeeming points, priority boarding, and lounge access.

“The implementation of this new agreement allows us to bring our customers closer to a wider variety of destinations, as well as attracting travelers from Scandinavia to the wide range of tourist attractions that Mexico has to offer. With this, we now have codeshare agreements with 14 partner airlines, through which we reinforce our commitment to connecting Mexico with the world, not only through the routes we operate, but also through the network of strategic allies, such as SAS,” says Giancarlo Mulinelli, Senior Vice President of Global Sales at Aeromexico.

This agreement expands choice and convenience for travelers, offering smoother journeys and more destinations across two continents. It also reflects SAS’ commitment to building strong partnerships that enhance loyalty benefits and create new opportunities for customers worldwide — building on recent collaborations with Vietnam Airlines and WestJet.

Sales start is December 1, 2025, with travel commencing December 6.
