SAS Cargo strengthens its position in North America

SAS CARGO STRENGTHENS ITS POSITION IN NORTH AMERICA SAS has invested 200 million kroner in a new freight terminal at Newark Airport, located outside New York City. The new cargo center, which is 22,500 square meters in area, was inaugurated yesterday. "The investment we have now made in Newark emphasizes our continuing interest in the American market and its future. With the new terminal we can provide our customers with much better service," says Peter Grönlund, head of SAS Cargo. The new fright terminal is well able to satisfy the ever toughening demands for efficient handling of air freight, with short dispatch times for all types of cargo. "For customers, shipping agents and employees as well, the investment in this new terminal is an important signal from SAS management. It demonstrates the importance they are placing on the cargo business. We want to be the foremost partner of Scandinavian business and industry, even when it comes to cargo," explains Peter Grönlund.
