SAS unveils a bold summer 2026 expansion with nine new routes, six new destinations, and a significant boost in connectivity across Europe, North America and Asia. The expansion reinforces Copenhagen’s role as Scandinavia’s global hub and reflects SAS’ long-term commitment to connecting Scandinavia and the world.

Summer 2026 marks a strategic leap for SAS, with a 20 percent increase in seat capacity from Copenhagen driving 50 percent more connecting opportunities. With more destinations than in any previous summer program, the schedule combines high-frequency business routes with leisure travel options, giving travelers greater flexibility, improved access, and smoother connections than ever before.

This expansion builds on SAS’ operational excellence. Over the past year, SAS has been ranked as both Europe’s and the world’s most punctual airline across several months—an achievement that underscores the reliability and precision travelers can expect when flying with SAS.

We are excited to present our largest summer program in SAS’ history, which reflects the strong momentum we’re having as a company”, says Anko van der Werff, President & CEO of SAS. “With two more Airbus A350’s, more destinations and better connectivity than ever before, we’re offering our customers an unmatched level of choice and flexibility. This expansion underscores our ambition to grow, to further strengthen Copenhagen as Scandinavia’s global hub, and to provide our customers with reliable, world class punctual travel on a broader scale.”

Season extension and increased frequencies

In addition, several routes that previously operated only during peak months will now run for the full season, including Copenhagen–Ålesund, Copenhagen–Edinburgh, and Copenhagen–Thessaloniki.

SAS is also increasing frequency on more than 30 existing routes. Copenhagen alone will see more departures on over 25 routes, including Berlin, Brussels, Budapest, Krakow, Prague, Seoul, Tallinn, and Tokyo. Stockholm gains enhanced services to Brussels, Dublin, Paris, and Vaasa, while Oslo benefits from additional flights to Brussels, Dublin, and Reykjavik.

The summer 2026 program will be available for booking starting September 22, 2025.
