SAS flights remain canceled The tragic events in the US on Tuesday afternoon have resulted in SAS canceling all flights to and from the US until further notice. "I want to express my deepest sympathy and that of SAS to all those affected in various ways by this appalling disaster," says Jørgen Lindegaard, President of SAS. All SAS aircraft to and from the US that were scheduled for Tuesday have been redirected or have returned to Scandinavia: · SK 903 Stockholm-New York returned to Arlanda (landed at 8:05 p.m., Scandinavian time). 115 passengers and 11 crew members were on board. · SK 907 Oslo-New York returned to Oslo (landed at 6:38 p.m., Scandinavian time): 123 passengers and 11 crew members. · SK 911 Copenhagen-New York landed at Halifax, Canada, at 6:18 p.m. and is scheduled to continue to Scandinavia after refueling. 159 passengers and 11 crew members. · SK 945 Stockholm-Chicago turned back, made an intermediate stop at Keflavik, Iceland, for refueling and is scheduled to land at Arlanda at 10:35 p.m., Scandinavian time. 146 passengers and 11 crew members. · SK 923 Copenhagen-Washington turned back, made an intermediate stop in Keflavik and was subsequently redirected to Bergen with an estimated time of arrival of 11:10 p.m., Scandinavian time. 188 passengers and 11 crew members. · SK 937 Copenhagen-Seattle canceled. · SK 943 Copenhagen-Chicago canceled. · SK 901 Copenhagen-New York canceled. · SK 771 Copenhagen-Tel Aviv redirected to Larnaca because Israeli air space has been closed.
