    Scania to supply 200 trucks to leading Indian mining company

    Indian mining company BGR Mining & Infra has placed an order for 200 Scania P 410 tipper trucks. In 2014, the company took delivery of its 150th Scania vehicle.BGR Mining & Infra Managing Director B.     Scania and Swedfund invest in Indian biogas

    Scania and the development financier of the Swedish state Swedfund are establishing a partnership to develop the production of biogas as an automotive fuel in the Indian city of Nagpur, which is located in the state of Maharashtra and has 2.5 million inhabitants.     Tomorrow, Tuesday, Scania will inaugurate its city bus production in Narasapura in the Indian state of Karnataka in the presence of the Swedish and Indian transport ministers.     Scania will enter the Indian bus and coach market for the first time when Busworld India ― a trade fair focused on developments in the Indian bus industry ― opens its doors on 1 February 2013 in Mumbai.     Scania is planning to invest about SEK 200 million in an industrial facility in Bangalore during the coming year. The Scania Regional Product Centre, India will also be the centre of the company’s commercial operations in the country.     Scania is now initiating an investment in sales in additional segments of the Indian market. The investment covers trucks, city buses and long distance coaches, and also industrial and marine engines.
