    Scania has begun the challenging pro­cess of reducing its backlog of truck and industrial and marine engine orders.     Scania is now adding yet another environmentally oriented alternative to its industry-leading palette with Euro 6 certified truck engines. The Scania 16-litre, 580 hp V8 engine can now be ordered in a configuration with up to 100 percent biodiesel operation (EN 14214) in the R-series.     Scania to supply engines for aircraft towing vehicles

    Scania has signed an agreement to deliver up to 3,000 Tier 4i emission-compliant engines for aircraft dispatch towing and pushback vehicles.Designed and developed by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), the pushback tractor TaxiBot will be manufactured by TLD in France, an airport ground support equipment (GSE) specialist.     Scania to supply V8 engines for Finnish landing craft

    Scania has landed a prestigious order to supply 24 diesel engines for the Finnish Navy’s new high-speed landing crafts. The vessels are scheduled for delivery during 2014 - 2016.Built and designed by Marine Alutech, the Finnish navy’s new high-speed Watercat M18 AMC landing crafts are fitted with twin 16-litre V8 engines from Scania. With 29 tonnes displacement, the 19.3-metre vessels have a broad range of applications such as troop and medical emergency transportation, evacuation tasks and landing operations.  The Watercat is powered by two Scania engines, developing 662 kW (900 hp)
