When printing in plastic powder – the so-called Selective Laser Sintering technology – this means that the parts are taken out of the build chamber when it has cooled down, so that most of the powder can be removed. The parts are then blasted clean of the remaining powder, and in the case of parts where hygiene and ease-of-cleaning are important, e.g. parts for food contact, they also get a surface sealing. All these processes require manual handling.
Automating the post-processing of 3D printed objects possess some very interesting challenges, even with the experience and technology already available at Scape. One primary concern is the accurate identification of an object and its orientation, within a batch of objects that might have differing designs and with the object still not being detailed due to the residuals left by the printing process. These elements combine to a higher degree of variance in the objects than accustomed and will challenge the recognition process in ways different than we are normally confronted with. Secondarily the actual grip and handling of the diversity of objects within a single batch requires consideration, when usual targets with respect to precision and speed are to be upheld.
Scape Technologies is delighted to welcome Cobots Sweden AB among our partners. With COBOTS, we have found a strategic collaborator that will help us solidify our position in the Swedish market and serve a broader spectrum of customers. We anticipate a fruitful partnership that will empower both Scape Technologies and COBOTS to effectively meet the demands of the expanding process automation sector. The core competencies of COBOTS align seamlessly with our Bin-Picking Solutions at Scape Technologies, particularly the user-friendly and intuitive SCAPE Mini-Picker and SCAPE Easy-Picker solutions. These innovations empower collaborative robots to efficiently and cost-effectively undertake tasks that were previously challenging to automate
We eagerly anticipate the further development of our partnership with Scape Technologies and the ability to offer our customers SCAPE Bin-Picking technology. From our perspective, Scape's flexible, reliable, and modular Bin-Picking solutions stand as the future in the realm of automated material handling
We are proud to present the new SCAPE Stationary Scanner P2 RecognitionTM at the Linz fair. This high-performing and cost-effective scanner is available in three models to cater to diverse needs in robotic and machine applications. By expanding our SCAPE 3D Vision product portfolio, which already includes the robot-mounted SCAPE Grid Scanner (2 models) and the SCAPE Stationary Scanner E1 (3 models), we are offering new market opportunities and benefits for demanding robotic and machine vision tasks. The new scanner is expected to be available on the market in August.
This is the first SCAPE order from HEYCO and it confirms our core competence and strong position in the robotic material handling domain. The standardized SCAPE Bin-Picking concept enables a wide range of industries to implement flexible and reliable Bin-Picking Solutions for handling parts which can optimize productivity and eliminate monotonous tasks and improving workers ergonomics.
Demek CNC OÜ is very pleased to count among its new partners Scape Technologies - the most experienced manufacturer in the challenging field of bin-picking. In our opinion, the precision of their solution, as well as their reliability, is the future of the bin-picking market.
Demek CNC’s core competences and projects fits to SCAPE Bin-Picking Solutions which enable cobots and industrial robots to perform tasks that would not otherwise be able to automate efficiently and cost-effectively. The technology is used i.e. for pick-and-place and Bin-Picking operations for automatic machine feeding, where benefits in the form of increased stability, reliability and efficiency help to ensure high profitability in automatic handling of items.
