Sustainable business platform based on the Global Goals
This year's Sustainability and Future Conference A Sustainable Tomorrow Helsingborg will be held on September 18 at Dunkers Kulturhus. A Sustainable Tomorrow has a strong support from the business community and can now introduce several new main partners for 2019.
Former Prime Minister of Sweden, Fredrik Reinfeldt, lectures at A Sustainable Tomorrow's conference.
The purpose of the conference is to increase the pace of sustainability work in the regional business community. Based on the Global Goals, new ideas and cross-sectoral collaboration are generated that lead to increased business benefits. A Sustainable Tomorrow brings together sustainable actors from the business sector, the public sector, civil society, and academia.
This is the sixth A Sustainable Tomorrow conference since the start in 2015. It is organized at Dunkers Kulturhus in Helsingborg on September 18, in collaboration with The Vault Hotel. Former Prime Minister of Sweden, Fredrik Reinfeldt, is involved yet another year, and he will give a macro perspective based on the theme of the year. The Government Offices will also be represented by Sweden's Ambassador for Sustainable Business, Jakob Kiefer.
– A Sustainable Tomorrow builds on the success of 2018 and the strong commitment from the business community to work with the Global Goals. We want to be a catalyst for the transition to a sustainable society where the business sector acts as the engine for change. Sustainability issues, primarily the climate, now apply to the survival of our planet and future generations. "There is no business on a dead planet" is no longer just a motto for activists, but also for business leaders. This year's theme and program have been further developed based on the participants' feedback and will be presented shortly, says Catarina Rolfsdotter-Jansson, Content Manager for A Sustainable Tomorrow.
A Sustainable Tomorrow has strong support from the business community. Similar to last year, SPP, a company that has received several awards for its sustainability work, is the main partner. This year they will be joined by Resurs Bank, Lindénruppen, Vera Park Circularity, the communications agency Infab, and the shipping company ForSea, which operates the ferry line between Helsingborg and Helsingör.
– We have chosen to cooperate with A Sustainable Tomorrow as we believe that long-term sustainability is very important. In addition, it is a good platform for us with values that are aligned with our own, says Johan Röstin, CEO of ForSea.
Sustainability experts Catarina Rolfsdotter-Jansson and Jakob Trollbäck are responsible for the conference program. Jakob Trollbäck has created the visual communication system for the Global Goals for the UN. Catarina Rolfsdotter-Jansson is a lecturer, journalist, author and recurring moderator at A Sustainable Tomorrow's conferences. With the help of their well-documented sustainability competence and network, A Sustainable Tomorrow is developing a sustainability arena with an international profile for the business community.
