Fiona Charles has been appointed as the new Country Manager for Agria in Ireland, with effect from January 12th, 2026.

“I am very pleased to welcome Fiona Charles to Agria. With over twenty years of experience in the financial and insurance sectors, as well as a strong commitment to leadership and animal welfare, she will play a crucial role in Agria’s continued growth journey in the Irish market,” says Christina Almtun, CEO Agria Europe.

In her new role, Fiona Charles will continue to develop Agria’s operations in Ireland, strengthen the company’s market offering, and increase brand awareness among Irish pet owners. She is passionate about building and developing businesses and sees the new position as an opportunity to use her extensive experience while continuing to learn and grow within a company that truly makes a difference for animals.

“The opportunity to lead Agria Ireland is incredibly exciting, as it brings together everything I value in a role – leadership, strategy, and a purpose-driven culture focused on animal welfare,” says Fiona Charles.

Fiona Charles joins Agria from her most recent role as CEO and Director of the fintech company PremFina Ireland, where she established the business and drove market expansion. She has also held senior positions at Aviva Insurance Ireland DAC and Close Brothers Banking Group, where she was responsible for sales, partnerships, and growth. Additionally, she has served as President of the Insurance Institute of Cork and sits on the Board of the Insurance Institute of Ireland.

Fiona lives with her family and two dogs in Cork and enjoys spending her free time outdoors, as well as reading and cooking.

She succeeds Bernard O’Sullivan, who retired earlier this year. Fionnan O'Sullivan has served as acting Country Manager during the gap period.
