Palestinsk läsfrämjare till Bokmässan
Bokmässan i Göteborg äger i år rum den 26-29 september. Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award finns på plats med inte mindre än tre pristagare: Indigenous Literacy Foundation (2024, Australien), Baek Heena (2020, Sydkorea) och Tamerinstitutet (2009, Palestina).Torsdag 26 september 10:10-10:35, Litteraturscenen Från muntligt till skriftligt berättande Hur förvaltas urfolks berättelser på bästa sätt? 2024 års Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award gick till Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF). De bedriver ett läsfrämjande arbete som också består i att bevara språk som tidigare inte funnits
Tisdagen den 4 juni mottog den australiensiska organisationen Indigenous Literacy Foundation världens största pris för barn- och ungdomslitteratur, Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award, i Konserthuset i Stockholm. Priset överlämnades av H.K.H. Kronprinsessan Victoria.− We believe in the fundamental human right that is learning to read and write and that right should extend to Indigenous languages. If we lose these languages the cost is incomprehensible through the loss of culture, identity, wisdom, knowledges and expertise we all require to build tomorrow's world, sa organisationens vd Ben Bowen
