Ravenbound Update 1.1 Adds New Skill Tree, Hidden Treasures, Balancing Improvements & More

STOCKHOLM – June 29, 2023 – Systemic Reaction’s open-world roguelite Ravenbound has revealed a new DLC today alongside its latest 1.1 content update. The “Hammers of Ávalt” DLC, free to keep on Steam for a limited time, introduces the brand-new hammer weapon type, giving players powerful new ways to slay their foes. In addition, the free Update 1.1 delivers a new skill tree for progression, secrets to uncover, and a range of improvements and bug fixes for all players. And with the removal of the Apex Connect requirement, players can now choose to experience Ravenbound’s fantasy open world offline for the first time!

“Hammers of Ávalt” DLC
Clobber your way through this Scandinavian folklore-inspired fantasy world with a powerful new weapon type: the hammer! Ravenbound’s first paid DLC, “Hammers of Ávalt” introduces 13 hammers with varied abilities, as well as six special effect cards so players can further customize their arsenal. Players can pick up the “Hammers of Ávalt” DLC for free on Steam until July 13, after which it will be available for $3.99.
Update 1.1 Features
- Play Online or Offline: Previously mandatory, Ravenbound’s Apex Connect requirement has been removed! Players are now free to experience the game either online or offline for the first time.
- New Skill Tree: Players can now earn skill tree points to unlock perks and other skills, allowing for meaningful progression with each run.
- New Hidden Treasure: Four new variants of hidden treasure have been introduced, letting players unlock coins, health, mana, blessings, and mitigate Hatred.
- Combat Balancing: Tons of adjustments to enemy strength and behavior have been made to further balance combat difficulty.
This new content joins a wealth of post-launch updates added since the game’s release earlier this year, including an overhaul of the Hatred System, balance and pacing improvements, new cards and increased card variety, a redesigned Vessel Select menu, and numerous bug fixes and quality-of-life enhancements.
