Property owner Boultbee today announce the successful restructure of their shopping centre portfolio in Stockholm. The loss of capital has been redressed ensuring that the financial structure is secured for the future.

In 2007 Boultbee and it’s partner, Lehman Brothers, purchased the Centrum Kompaniet portfolio from the Stockholm municipality. The financial structure of the portfolio came under pressure after the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers in 2008.

Negotiations with the lenders have been ongoing for a long period of time and at a meeting which took place on the 10 February, an agreement finally came in place which brings security to the portfolio.

Following the restructure, Boultbee is excited about the future of the CK portfolio and the growth opportunities in a buoyant Swedish market.

- We are pleased to announce that a restructure has been achieved, says a Boultbee spokesperson.

Shopping centres located in Stockholm include Tensta, Rinkeby, Hässelby Gård, Älvsjö, Högdalen, Bredäng, Västermalmsgallerian, Ringen, Fältöversten and Skärholmen Centrum.

The portfolio has continued to trade well, and since the purchase in 2007 several new international brands have been introduced to the Stockholm malls including Bijou Brigitte, Gina Tricot, In Wear, Triumph, New Yorker and new food concepts Engla and also Soupranos.
