The assignment from the City of Stockholm is to provide media center, theme areas and hot spots around the city with fast wireless connections. The Media Centre, which is the largest and most complex ever built in Sweden, will have to deal with approximately 3,000 working journalists during the period. To handle that communication pressure requires proven wireless technology. DataCom has selected Meru Networks as the wireless network provider to ensure coverage across the City of Stockholm, particularly in high density areas such as the Media Centre where large files such as photos and videos are transmitted from the event to news centers around the world.
