Märit Sareyko appointed as the CEO of Epical
Epical, a Nordic data consulting company, is welcoming a new CEO as Märit Sareyko, a Swedish professional with prior experience as the CEO of Valtech Nordics and working in a CIO position at Stora Enso, assumes her new role on April 1st. She replaces Mikko Valorinta, who previously held the position. Sareyko brings expertise in change management and a profound understanding of the Nordic IT market to Epical. Her focus will be on enhancing the company's productivity and maintaining its excellent customer satisfaction.
Epical specializes in data, analytics, cybersecurity, applications, and integrations. It is a subsidiary of Enfo Oy and employs a total of 400 people in Finland and Sweden. Enfo is a long-standing investment of Osuuskunta KPY.
The decision to hire a new CEO was made due to the need for Epical to respond more forcefully to organizational changes, strengthen collaboration between different countries, and improve profitability. By appointing a new CEO, Epical aims to leverage market opportunities, address underlying challenges accompanying changes, and strengthen its position in the Nordic data consulting industry.
"Märit has extensive experience and expertise in working across all Nordic markets, as well as a strong track record in driving organizational change and collaboration. Having worked in the Nordic markets for over 20 years, Sareyko believes that Epical will benefit from her professional background and network, particularly in improving the synergy between Finland and Sweden. The new CEO's goal is to guide Epical through future changes while maintaining its current strengths in an open and transparent manner.
