ETF Securities noterar inflöden till råvaror på över 1 miljard dollar sedan januari 2016
London, 15 februari 2016: ETF Securities, en av världens ledande oberoende leverantörer av börshandlare produkter (ETPer), har noterat rekordhöga nettoinflöden på över 1 miljard dollar sedan 1 januari i år. Särskilt noterbart är inflödet till guld- och olje-ETPer som uppgick till 720 respektive 320 miljoner dollar. Tisdagen den 9 februari hade ETF Securities det högsta dagsinflödet till guld-ETPer någonsin; 345 miljoner dollar.
”Även om vår strategi är att vara en leverantör som erbjuder flera olika tillgångsslag, så är råvaror, och guld i synnerhet, hörnstenen i vårt erbjudande. Det starka inflödet i år beror till stor del på det rådande marknadsklimatet, men det är även ett resultat av de pågående investeringar vi gör för att stärka vår distributions- och analyskapacitet”, säger ETF Securities VD Mark Weeks.
”Vi väntade oss att guldet skulle utvecklas bättre under 2016 och det har vi verkligen sett. Vi tror att Yanet Yellens retorik i förra veckan angående riktningen för den amerikanska centralbankens penningpolitik och de utökade penningpolitiska åtgärderna ökar oron över stabiliteten på finansmarknaderna. Yellens uttalanden kommer i en tid där oron även är stor kring de europeiska bankernas likviditet, risken för Brexit och osäkerheten kring utgången i det amerikanska presidentvalet. Sammantaget gör detta att investerarna söker sig till guldet som en säker hamn och för att diversifiera. Givet det osäkra ekonomiska klimatet tror vi att denna trend kommer att fortsätta”, säger James Butterfill, ETF Securities chef för analys och investeringsstrategi.
