BERGEN. Trac ID Systems AS and C2SAT communications AB today announce a Strategic Business Agreement covering a new Radio Link application for the Oil & Gas industry.

Per Christiansen, Senior Vice President Trac, says: “Teaming up with C2SAT enables Trac to provide bidirectional 155 Mbps TracLink Service for the off-shore market. The high growth of the exploitation of smaller oil reservoirs and deep water reservoirs is driving the need for new solutions for communication. Radio link services make it possible to provide high bandwidth networking between new off-shore sites at reasonable cost.”

“C2SAT’s stabilised antenna for radio link communication in Oil & Gas applications opens up a

new market segment for our company. At very high bandwidths satellite communication is not commercially viable, and in this segment we can leverage our antenna platform to provide a competitive alternative to laying optical fibre cables”, says Fredrik Hanell, CEO C2SAT.

“The co-operation with Trac enables us to expand our global product offering.”

Trac Networks, located in Bergen, is a telecom specialised company planning, selling and delivery wireless telecommunication systems to oil related companies.

C2SAT communications AB, headquartered in Solna, Stockholm, Sweden is a world leader of innovative stabilised VSAT antenna systems used in two-way satellite broadband communication from vessels and vehicles in motion. C2SAT holding AB is on the NGM Stock Market Exchange with the ticker C2ST. C2SAT is a registered trademark.
