Balder invests SEK 400 million in the Øresund region

Fastighets AB Balder has entered into an agreement with Sjælsø Gruppen A/S to purchase a residential property of 6,830 sq.m. containing 75 condominiums in Ørestad Syd, Copenhagen. The property was completed in 2009 and is fully leased and will be taken into possession at the end of the first quarter.

The residential property has a prime location with beautiful views of Amager Fælled and is close to the subway system, the airport and the motorway network. The increasing numbers moving to Copenhagen and the historically low prices of prime residential real estate provides a sound basis for investment in housing in Copenhagen.

Balder has also signed an agreement with Midroc for the acquisition of a hotel in Lund, which is under construction. The hotel has an area of 9,300 sq.m. and will be operated by Radisson under the Park Inn brand and possession is expected to take place in early 2014. The property will be built with environmentally friendly materials to meet the requirements of Green building.
