FH Award 2018
The 26th FH Award become public on Wednesday 19 June 13.00 at the Operaterrassen in Stockholm, in conjunction with the Financial Hearings Financial Analayst and Journalist Ranking.
Martin Lundstedt Volvo, Volvo became the presenter of the Year – following the tradition Michael Treschcow then at Atlas Copco started already 1993.
This prize is the oldest in Financial Hearings Award, and it is just a few people from Volvo and Gothenburg to achieve it – the other names are Leif Johansson Volvo, Carl Henric Svanberg ( for Assa Abloy), Tom Johnstone (SKF), Lars Westerberg and Jan Carlsson ( Autoliv).
The International Presenter of the Year was given to a duo – Johan Forssell Investor and Ola Källenius Daimler AG. – The Prize started 2001 as the voice in the world from Sweden – and known as the “Wallenberg Prize”
In conjunction with that prize also the Prize to best CFO named “Hans Ola Meyers Prize” was given to Helena Saxon Investor and Maria Redin MTG
Prizes to the Best Moderator and Micro Cap was given to Ulf Petersson Dagens Industri and Sharish Aziz Danske Markets and Martin Edlund Minesto
The most Impact of the Financial Hearings Award this year was made by Mats Årjes, Skistar – who almost took a “Grand Slam” in Prizes for Best Cooperation, Special Prize and Small Cap – most of this is for the splendid work with Skistar he has done for over 16 years. But the Jury could not forget his effort to change the “Economic Face” of the International and Swedish Olympic Organisations. Mats was just on his way to the final of the Swedish Campaign for the Winter Olympics in Stockholm 2026 in Lausanne on Monday 24 June. In an informal voting for the Interest in the Olympics to come to Sweden and the chance to get it – Mats Årjes catched a surprising strong support from the Swedish Financial Markets Elite, Brokers – with Analysts, Media – with Journalist and listed Companies of over 90 % in support for his Campaign for the Olympics in Sweden.
As Head of the the FH Award Jury – and also Professor Winter Sports in Kina, I would add that I believe this voting will be as important for Sweden as it was for China. For China the Winter Olympics in Beijing 2022 is about to bring Health and an Active Winter Sport Life for 300 million People. For Sweden it is almost the same but It also probably the best Ideas to Integrate the 2 millions New Swedes – in our Winter Culture
