Her previous employers include Skandia Liv, Länsförsäkringar Liv and Finansinspektionen. She will be taking up her new post at Folksam on 1 January 2015.

Pia Marions is an economics graduate with lengthy experience of a range of areas within economics and finance. The new position at Folksam will mean her leaving her current position as CFO at Carnegie, where she has worked since 2010. Prior to this, she has worked for employers such as the Royal Bank of Scotland, where she was COO for the Nordic region from 2006 to 2010. Prior to this, Pia Marions worked as CFO for Skandia Liv between 2002 and 2006. Her previous experience includes Länsförsäkringar Liv, Finansinspektionen and work as an authorised public accountant at Arthur Andersen in Sweden and New York.

“It’s going to be exciting to start at Folksam and be part of the journey of change that both the insurance sector and Folksam have embarked upon in terms of adapting to new regulations such as the EU Solvency II Directive,” says Pia Marions.

“Folksam is to be a modern finance company. With her solid background in the banking and finance sectors, Pia will add valuable experience in the work towards achieving this goal and ensure that Folksam remains financially strong,” says Folksam’s CEO and President Jens Henriksson.

Pia Marions will succeed Folksam’s current CFO, Catrina Ingelstam, who will be taking over the position as the head of internal auditing at Folksam General as of 1 January 2015.
