Premiere of Furuvik's thrilling launch coaster “Lightning”
Finally – premiere of Furuvik's brand new electrifying launch coaster! “Lightning”, a Vekoma manufactured coaster, launches and reaches a top speed of 75 km/h in just three seconds. Tomorrow, on June 3rd, this launch coaster will be ready for our guests to ride.

Tomorrow, on June 3rd, Furuvik will open the new electrifying launch coaster, Lightning; built for speed and undoubtedly the biggest attraction in Furuvik's history. Lightning is a launch coaster, which accelerates right from the start and reaches a top speed of up to 75 km/h in just three seconds. What's more, it takes you on no less than two laps. After the first lap you glide through the station, where you normally disembark, but instead you are sent on one more round with the same acceleration.
"We are thrilled to finally have this ride in place and ready for our guests, whom we have been eagerly anticipating. It's incredibly exciting, and I'm confident it will be loved by both young and old. I'm personally super excited to experience it myself" says Sandra Wilke, CEO at Furuvik.
