Dagligvarujätten Asda väljer HCL Technologies för IT-baserat förändringsarbete

Stockholm – 21 september, 2018–HCL Technologies(HCL), ett ledande globalt teknologiföretag, har blivit valda att driva ett IT-baserat förändringsarbete hos Storbritanniens tredje största dagligvaruföretag, Asda. Avtalet som löper på tre år innebär att HCL ska utveckla Asdas IT-applikationstjänster via en ny DevOps-baserad leveransmodell. Tjänsterna omfattar utveckling av data och analytics, backoffice-applikationer genom hela utvecklingscykeln, testning och support. HCL kommer också att bygga en central plattform för datahantering. Därigenom ska Asda kunna förbättra sin förmåga att utnyttja möjligheterna med dataanalys. 

Asda driver fler än 600 butiker I Storbritannien och man har 135 000 anställda. Asda vill bli mer snabbrörliga inom applikationsutveckling och testning för att kunna agera snabbare på affärsmöjligheter och minska time-to-market. Samtidigt ska användarupplevelsen förbättras. Genom att modernisera sin dataplattform och införa ett DevOps-baserat sätt att arbeta ska Asda ta bort de datasilos som begränsar samarbetet mellan interna IT-team, göra applikationslivscykler mer effektiva och öka innovationsarbetet över hela företaget. Asda valde HCL tack vare dess omfattande expertis kring att leverera liknande och stora förändringsprojekt samt för dess kompetens inom data analytics.
