Volvo Cars väljer HCL Technologies som en av huvudleverantörerna av digitaliserings- och IT-tjänster

Existerande samarbete utökas för att driva storskaligt digitaliseringsprojekt och skapa affärsframgång med hjälp av ny teknik

Göteborg, Sverige och Noida, Indien – 17 oktober 2019 –Det ledande globala teknikföretaget HCL Technologies meddelade idag att Volvo Cars har valt HCL som heltäckande leverantör av IT-tjänster. I avtalet ingår även att genomföra Volvos nya digitaliseringsprogram. Avtalet är en utvidgning av ett redan existerande samarbete som inleddes 2016 och innebär att HCL kommer att bistå den globala biltillverkaren med deras pågående digitaliseringsprojekt. Digitaliseringsprogrammet är mycket omfattande och innebär att Volvo Cars genomför ett teknikskifte i hela organisationen för att förbättra kundupplevelsen och de interna affärsprocesserna.

Den digitaliseringsplan som HCL och Volvo Cars arbetat fram innehåller åtgärder för att skapa en flexibel och produktinriktad organisation. Därmed kan Volvo hantera komplexiteten i verksamheten på ett effektivt sätt och få ut produkterna snabbare på marknaden, samt dra nytta av fördelar som mobilitetslösningar, prenumerationsbaserade tjänster samt eldrivna och förarlösa fordon.

HCL och Volvo Cars har sedan 2016 bedrivit ett framgångsrikt samarbete för digitalisering. Samarbetet mellan de två organisationerna utökas nu till att omfatta flera aspekter av digital omvandling, exempelvis produktorientering, DevOps och applikationsintegration.
