Commaxx in Nordic distribution agreement with Corero
Commaxx has signed a Nordic cooperation agreement with Corero, the global network security company focused on Real-Time DDoS Protection. The agreement states that Commaxx should be responsible for distribution of Corero security software in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland.
Corero Network Security have appointed Commaxx as their distributor in Scandinavia and have signed an agreement. Commaxx, the leading value-added distributor in the Nordic region in client solutions, virtualization, cloud and security, is experiencing strong growth in the Nordic market. They look forward to a successful partnership with Corero.

The Nordic market is a mature market in different ways but is regularly attacked by larger and smaller DDoS-attacks. Swedish Transport Administration was attacked in October 2017 with the result that many Swedish trains were delayed. Only last month Danish DSB was attacked taking ticket sales systems offline for several hours.
“The problem today is that it’s easy and inexpensive to rent DDoS attacks on the internet but it’s expensive to defend against this” says Will Hamber, VP Channels EMEA at Corero. “News headlines tend to only focus on large scale attacks above 100Gbps or even 1Tbps. The facts are that most DDoS-attacks are much smaller in both amplitude and duration. Today more than 70 percent of all DDoS-attacks are shorter than 10 minutes and more than 90% smaller than 5 Gbps. Whilst more modest in scale, these attacks can be just as devastating and often go un-mitigated by traditional defences. Revenue and reputation sensitive organizations must defend themselves against these kinds of attacks”
