REAC concentrates the manufacturing of lift mechanisms and components to the plant in Poland and closes the plant in Herning, Denmark. 14 persons will be made redundant.

The background to the decision is a planned reduction of the production volumes in the plant in Herning in favor of the plant in Poland.

A complete analysis of the production footprint within the group has also been done following the acquisition of the plant in Poland in December last year.

”On the basis of the reduction of production volumes in our plant in Herning and the total possibility to reduce cost for the group this reorganization is a necessity. This will also improve our competitiveness moving forward”, says Mauritz Sahlin, CEO of REAC.

14 employees will be affected and local negotiations are initiated. The plan is to have the factory closed by the end of the year.
