Trade union solidarity with the rest of the world
Trade union cooperation with the rest of the world must be strengthened in order to protect workers’ in-terests. This was the statement of the LO Congress when international trade union issues were under de-bate today. The Congress decided that LO should strive to improve follow-up and control of corporate social responsibility based on the norms and recommendations of the ILO and the OECD.
Swedish Trade Union Confederation (LO) organises 15 unions with a union density of 76 percent of the blue collar workers. Wanja Lundby-Wedin is president of LO and the European Trade Union Confedera-tion (ETUC).
