The Board of Directors has decided to appoint Leif Tüll as new CEO of Mawell starting October 1st. Jan E Larsson, who has served as CEO for the last couple of years, will at the same time take on the new role as Director of Business Development and Strategic Sales.
“The Board of Directors together with present CEO Jan E. Larsson have jointly agreed that it is now time for a leadership change and with Leif Tüll coming on board we feel confident that we can further enhance Mawell’s position in the Nordic market.” says Jon Risfelt, Chairman of the Board.
Jan E Larsson will take on the new role as Director of Business Development and Strategic Sales, an area which has been developed by Jan Larsson during his years as CEO and is important to further strengthen and build our unique market position in the Nordic region.
“Mawell has taken big steps during Jan’s leadership and we are today an important player in the Nordic IT business for the healthcare sector as well as a quality player in the area of healthcare advisory services and in the emerging homecare integrator market. Jan’s work has had a significant impact on developing this position and created new businesses and opportunities for the company. With the appointment of Leif Tüll as our CEO we will further strengthen our management capacity which is important to ensure that our strong growth can be combined with sustainable profitability and good quality. We are creating a true Nordic leader and need a strong and complete management team”, says Jon Risfelt.
Leif Tüll most recently comes from a position as Vice President Sales & Marketing at Acando AB. He has management and board experience in several companies and business sectors. Among others, Leif has held management positions in both ICT companies and within the healthcare sector. His work experience has had an international focus throughout his career, in particular within the Nordic region, but also within Europe, USA and Asia.
“I am particularly passionate about having the possibility to influence healthcare and making life better and easier for many by using technology and expertise in good and new ways. This can only be done by having a good mix of expertise and solutions, teamwork every day, and by working systematically in all areas of a company’s operations; in management, marketing, sales, all deliveries going on, and of course in customer care”, says Leif Tüll.
With the recent changes, Mawell’s group management will consist of Leif Tüll (Group CEO), Marcus Claus (Group CFO), Bo Eklund (Software Solutions), Anssi Ylimaula (Operations Finland), Tomas Lithner (Consulting Sweden), Mats Grundel (Managed Services Sweden), Peter Lager (Partner relations and CIO), Thomas Engdahl (Quality management), Jan E. Larsson (Strategic Sales and Business Development) and Timo Koistinen (Care) with Monica Mäki Karlstrand and Mikko Korkala responsible for Care’s Swedish and Finnish local operations respectively.
