Loreen - bästa svenska artist inför 2012 MTV EMA
Igår stod det klart att Loreen vann omröstningen om ”Best Swedish Act” i samband med MTV EMA som äger rum i Frankfurt den 11 november. Loreen kommer nu att tävla mot andra lokala vinnare i Europa om titeln ”Best European Act” som utannonseras den 30 oktober.

I våras vann hon Eurovision och har sedan dess erövrat låtlistor över hela Europa. Nu kan Loreen vinna ännu en stor utmärkelse i samband med MTV EMA i Frankfurt. Hon har redan vunnit de svenska fansens gunst när hon vann den lokala svenska ömröstningen över Laleh, Panetoz, Avicii och Alina Devercerski.
Loreen tävlar nu mot bland andra One Direction (UK/Irland), Afrojack (Holland) och DJ Antoine (Schweiz), se hela listan med vinnare längre ner eller på www.mtvema.com. Från och med idag och fram till den 30 oktober kommer europeiska musikfans att få rösta på sin favoritartist, som vinner titeln ”Best European Act” och som därefter kommer att tävla mot de slutgiltiga vinnarna från Asien, Latinamerika och Afrika. Till slut kommer en vinnare att utses, ”Best Worldwide Act”, som också kommer att uppträda på galan den 11 november.
Då Loreen är ett känt namn ute i Europa finns det goda chanser att hon blir framröstad till ”Best European Act”.
Som tidigare annonserat är det Rihanna och Taylor Swift som toppar de globala nomineringarna med sina fem nomineringar. Justin Bieber och Katy Perry följer med fyra nomineringar vardera. Lady Gaga, Carly Rae Jepsen, fun., Lana Del Ray, Nicki Minaj, Jay Z och Kanye West har tre nomineringar, medan Green Day, Gotye, Pitbull, Rita Ora, FLo Rida, Muse, Artic Monkeys, Jack White och One Direction har två. MTV kommer att tillkännage fler artister som skall uppträda och presentatörer vid senare tillfällen.

The more fans engage with the EMA content featured on MTV’s digital platforms in the weeks leading up to the show, the more their participation and points can boost the chances for their favorite artist to win the Biggest Fans prize on November 11th. Additionally, fans participating in the MegaFan competition on MTV’s EMA platforms can earn a chance to win a trip to the 2012 MTV EMA in Frankfurt. Fans can vote for EMA categories, including Best New, Best Live and more by visiting www.mtvema.com online or http://m.mtvema.com on their mobile phones. Voting for EMA categories is open now until 11:59PM CET on Friday, November 9th, 2012.
The “2011 MTV EMA”, held in Belfast, Northern Ireland, was the event’s most watched telecast ever with more than 39 million viewers tuning in to MTV and VIVA channels around the world. The 18thannual show saw a double-digit increase year over year with the coveted P12-34 demographic and enjoyed a +29% increase in unique visitors to the EMA website on show day. The “2011 MTV EMA” also drew an impressive total of 158 million votes worldwide, a huge growth of +236% year over year.
