NCC’s Torsplan to be head office for Mekonomen
NCC has signed a lease with Mekonomen Nordic concerning 1,355 square meters of floor space in the new office and retail building Torsplan in Hagastaden, Stockholm. Occupancy is scheduled for April 1, 2014.
“We look forward to moving into the new modern premises designed for us. NCC has listened to our requests and transformed our requirements to concrete solutions,” says Nils-Erik Brattlund, Establishment Manager, Mekonomen Group.
In April 2014, Mekonomen Nordic will relocate to the Torsplan property, where it has leased 1,355 square meters of office space. Only 2,500 square meters of office space now remains unleased, as well as 1,285 square meters of retail space, from a total of 30,000 square meters.
“It is gratifying that another company with a strong brand has chosen Torsplan for its head office and we are experiencing considerable demand for the remaining space remains,” says Olle Forsberg, Regional Manager, NCC Property Development.
Torsplan was sold earlier this year to KLP Fastigheter AB, which will take over the property at the end of the fourth quarter of 2013. Axfood, Structor, the Health and Social Care Inspectorate, Max Hamburger restaurant, Systembolaget and Hemköp are some of the companies that have chosen to establish operations in Torsplan.
Hagastaden, located between Norra Stationsgatan and Karolinska Hospital, will be one of Stockholm’s totally new city districts with world-class research, advanced care and a combination of offices, housing, green areas and retail activities.
NCC is developing Torsplan to be classified at an Excellent rating according to the international BREEAM environmental certification system. This means that considerable attention will be paid to the building’s indoor environment, ecology and lifecycle, as well as waste, energy and water usage. The property will also be classified as a GreenBuilding. The premises are part of the “Future Office by NCC” concept, a Nordic model designed to create attractive and sustainable workplaces for customers.
