Austrian ice hockey club Red Bull Salzburg sign a PolarCap® agreement
The Med-Tech company PolarCool AB (publ.) has signed a 2-year agreement with the Austrian ice hockey club EC Red Bull Salzburg for the use of the PolarCap® System. PolarCool thus continues to further expand its presence in European professional ice hockey, with the largest teams in the sport.
PolarCool's agreement with Red Bull Salzburg marks an important step in its expansion within the Austrian ice hockey market. Previously, the company signed agreements with Klagenfurter AC and Villacher SV for the use of the PolarCap® System. All three teams compete in Austria’s premier league, the Win2Day Ice Hockey League, which includes 13 teams spanning four countries.
PolarCool CEO Erik Andersson comments:
-The agreement with EC Red Bull Salzburg is positive and we are pleased about our growing presence in the European ice hockey market. The fact that it is also the first agreement within the well-known Red Bull organization is also interesting in that it contains a significant number of teams in both ice hockey and soccer.
PolarCool now has a strong foothold in European ice hockey with customers providing the treatment across seven countries. The agreement with EC Red Bull Salzburg is strategically important, even if the financial significance of individual agreements is limited.
