PolarCool is growing its presence in Swiss ice hockey – HC Lugano signs an agreement
Med-tech company PolarCool AB (publ) have signed a two-year commercial agreement with the Swiss hockey giant HC Lugano and continues its successful establishment in European top ice hockey.
PolarCool develops and markets the PolarCap® System, a product that alleviates the effects of concussion injuries. PolarCap® is primarily used by sports organizations and facilities in contact sports such as ice hockey, rugby, football, and handball, as well as in sports with an increased risk of concussion.
HC Lugano, playing in the Swiss top league the National League, now become the third club in the league to include treatment with the PolarCap® System in their concussion management. This holds immense importance for PolarCool’s continued establishment in the National League, while the financial impact of individual agreements is limited.

-We at HC Lugano are pleased that we from now on will be able to provide the PolarCap® System to our players. Player safety and health is a priority for us, and we look forward to now being able to offer improved treatment through the use of this clinically proven method.
PolarCool's CEO, Erik Andersson comments;
-The continued establishment in Switzerland is of course satisfactory and we are now starting to see the results of the long-term work to introduce a new treatment method as more and more clubs sign contracts. We foresee accelerating sales in the European hockey segment, but also in our other priority markets.
