PolarCool secure another agreement with Top 14 giant Lyon Olympique Universitaire
The med-tec company PolarCool AB (publ) continues to further establish PolarCap® in professional French rugby, by signing a 2-year agreement with Top 14 team Lyon Olympique Universitaire Rugby (LOU).
PolarCool develops and markets the product PolarCap®, which alleviates the effects of concussion. The primary users of PolarCap® include sports clubs, organizations, and facilities in contact sports such as ice hockey, rugby, football, and handball, but also other sports with an increased risk of concussion. PolarCool’s goal is to continue to strengthen its presence in French rugby and the agreement brings strategic value, even if the financial significance of individual agreements are limited.
PolarCool has recently signed a number of important agreements with professional rugby clubs in France and the UK, and the company already has two agreements with Top 14 clubs Stade Français and Racing 92 for the use of the PolarCap System.
LOU Rugby are one of the top rugby teams in France, based in the south, they are known as one of the 10 richest rugby clubs in the world and are steeped in history and tradition. The agreement with LOU Rugby is an important step towards PolarCool's long-term goal of securing a league solution with the Ligue Nationale de Rugby, the French professional league body for the Top 14 and Pro D2, such as the one in place in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL).

Rugby in France has a large market potential for PolarCool, with 30 professional teams across the Top 14 and Pro D2, and over 1,800 teams across the amateur levels of rugby in France. The market is of significant focus for PolarCool in relation to immediate sales and league-wide solutions.
