PolarCool secures first agreement in motorsports with Fédération Internationale de Motocyclism (FIM)

The med-tec company PolarCool AB (publ.), has secured an agreement with the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclism (FIM), the global governing body for motorcycle sports. This agreement will see the use of PolarCap in the upcoming Motocross Grand Prix (MXGP) season, marking the company's strategic entry into the market of motorsports.

PolarCool develops and markets the product PolarCap®, which alleviates the effects of concussions. The primary users of PolarCap® include sports clubs, organizations, and facilities in contact sports such as ice hockey, rugby, football, and handball, but also other sports with an increased risk of concussion.

The agreement follows PolarCool’s participation at the inaugural FIM Medical Summit and 2024 FIM Commissions Conference in Lyon, France, where the scientific evidence for the PolarCap® System was presented. These events provided a platform for FIM medical professionals to share insights and best practices, with a focus on critical topics such as concussion protocols. The evidence for the treatment with PolarCap® was well received, which now has led to the company's first agreement with FIM.

The motorsport market is a growing market with large potential and PolarCool’s aim is to secure and establish agreements for the use of PolarCap® across more FIM disciplines.
