Showing a proven end-to-end portfolio for commercial and transactional needs for Hunkeler Innovationdays’ 5,000+ attendees

London, March 8, 2013 -- Ricoh, a leading provider of digital output solutions, document management systems and IT services, today revealed the details of its successful participation at Hunkeler Innovationdays. Gathering a record number of leads compared to previous years, Ricoh noted a rise in interest in technology and services that are aimed at extending print services and increasing productivity for corporate and commercial print environments. The InfoPrint 5000 GP printer with the Extended Media Dryer option, seen for the first time in Europe, was particularly popular, based on its greater flexibility for books and high quality reports on a wide range of media.

The Ricoh Pro™ C901 Graphics Arts +, the new flagship of Ricoh's cut sheet production portfolio, was seen for the first time at an international exhibition. The new press attracted visitors to learn more about its capabilities for marketing, direct mail and packaging applications. Its debut on an international stage came as InfoSource released its full year market share figures for its category of production devices, colour press cut sheet for Western Europe. Graham Moore, Director, Business Development, Ricoh Europe, said, “This is a fast-expanding category and I am delighted that Ricoh has ended the year maintaining our 2012 position as market leader, according to InfoSource. It backs up our own experience of more and more production printing businesses turning to Ricoh to support their productivity and profitability objectives.”

Moore added, “The desire to expand beyond print was apparent at Hunkeler Innovationdays. Visitors to the Ricoh stand were focused on   learning more about new business opportunities and new tools to help them grow their services for their clients. There was a high demand for demonstrations of Ricoh’s cut sheet and continuous feed technology including software solutions. The Ricoh ProcessDirector Express, Track and Trace solution, TotalFlow Cadence and TotalFlow DocEnhancer solutions have all been recently launched in Europe or will be available soon.   Such tools add efficiency to the whole workflow process, and provide ideal ways to enhance performance and open up new opportunities.”

“The lively atmosphere on the Ricoh stand was enhanced by the fact that three out of every four visitors was a potential new customer, seeking a partner to work with them as they grow their business into the future.”

Visitors to the Ricoh stand also had the opportunity to see the InfoPrint 5000 MP in mono mode. The demonstrations were a popular choice for commercial and transactional printers, running monochrome books, statements, manuals and other documents. The 5000 MP offers the option to convert to a full colour system when needs change, and so protect the initial investment.
