Hong Kong Fire Services Department purchases three RescueRunners
We are proud to announce that Hong Kong Fire Services Department acquires three new RescueRunners with SAR-equipment, adding to their fleet of total five RescueRunners. The deal is done in cooperation with our Hong Kong distributor Kingship.
In 2015 Safe at Sea delivered two RescueRunners to Hong Kong Fire Services Department. These two RescueRunners will remain in operation and the three new orders will add to the fleet. With an anticipated life length of a RescueRunner of about ten years, Hong Kong Fire Services Department can look forward to many years of efficient SAR operations with their RescueRunners.
Hong Kong Fire Services Department uses RescueRunners as deck boats on larger firefighting vessels as well as on trailers for deployment close to a SAR area or a diving site.
“This once again shows that our customers are very satisfied with the versatile RescueRunner, our record of customers returning to purchase more RescueRunners is tremendous”, says CEO Kaj Lehtovaara.
The RescueRunners will be delivered during Q2 2017. The value of the deal is approximately 1.4 MSEK.
We are also glad to welcome a distinguished delegation from Hong Kong Fire Services Department to visit Safe at Sea in June, to learn more about the RR Mobile Rescue Station and how the RescueRunner is used by Gothenburg Fire Department.
