Lexington Company and Boråstapeter Win Swedish Elle Decoration Design Awards 2017.
Lexington Company’s cooperation with Boråstapeter won the Wallpaper of the Year award at the Swedish Elle Decoration Design Awards 2017 yesterday evening. The collection of 35 wallpapers is inspired by Lexington’s textiles and its roots from the American East Coast.
The jury’s motivation was “This is a successful partnership where a strong interior and textile brand has been reinterpreted into a beautiful wallpaper”.
Timeless stripes, romantic flowers in classic adhesive prints, shell patterns and medallion wallpaper reminiscent of America’s European heritage are just some of the patterns found in the Lexington wallpaper collection. The wallpapers have combined Lexington textile aesthetics with historical elements from the US East Coast and creates a seamless transition between interior and wallpaper. Lexington’s Founder, President and Creative Director, Kristina Lindhe, is very satisfied with the interpretation of Lexington’s aesthetics.
- This has been a fun and successful cooperation between Lexington and Boråstapeter. The wallpapers reflect Lexington’s soul and the clear link to our source of inspiration, which makes it very exciting that
the collection is now recognized with this award, says Kristina Lindhe.
Each wallpaper is named after one of the great American writers, including Arthur (Miller), Emily (Dickinson), Louise (May Alcott) and Dan (Brown) and the full collection is found on Lexington’s website: www.lexingtoncompany.com.
