Tourism Authority of Thailand is excited to announce events and trade fair that take place in 2023! This highly anticipated events will showcase the new product of Thailand and is expected to draw visitors and tourism partners from both Scandinavian and Baltic countries.

 

Moreover, there are many festivals and events in Thailand all year round. It is good to know when planning your trip what to do, where to go, which event to celebrate together with the locals. Some events, such as Songkran Thai New Year, are celebrated nationwide and dates are fixed in advance. The exact dates of Buddhist holidays vary each year depending on the lunar calendar. Dates of many local events are not confirmed until nearer the time.  Here we give you some hints about what will happen in 2023.

February

  • Chiang Mai Flower Festival: held on the first weekend of February and lasts for 3 days, TBC 3-5 February 
  • Trang Underwater Wedding: usually held mid-February to include Valentine’s Day
  • HONDA LPGA Thailand 2023 : 23-26 February
  • Ferie for Alle, Danish Travel show – Herning, Denmark :24-26 February

April

  • Chakri Memorial Day (public holiday): 6 April
  • Songkran Thai New Year Festival (public holiday): 13-15 April
  • PHUKET BIKE WEEK 2023 – Phuket, Thailand: 28-30 April
  • Amazing Thailand Roadshow to Nordic (Oslo & Aarhus) 25-27 April

  • Birthday of HM King Maha Vajiralongkorn (Rama X) (public holiday): 28 July
  • Pattaya Marathon 2023 – Pattaya, Thailand: Mid July
  • Phuket Yachting Race Week: Dates to be confirmed
  • Ubon Ratchathani Candle Festival: Annually July

August

  • Asalha Bucha Day (public holiday): 1 August 
  • Khao Phansa (public holiday): 2 August 
  • HM Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother’s Birthday (public holiday): 12 August. Also celebrated as Mother’s Day.
  • Phangnga Tropical Trail International – Phang-Nga, Thailand: 19-20 August

  • HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej Memorial Day (public holiday): 13 October
  • Chulalongkorn Day (public holiday): 23 October
  • OR Thailand Grand Prix 2023: 27-29 October

November

  • Travel News Market – Stockholm, Sweden: 9 November
  • TTR BalticVilnius, Lithuania, Riga, Latvia and Tallinn, Estonia: Date TBC

December

  • Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok – Bangkok, Thailand: 3 December
  • King Bhumibol Birthday Commemoration Day (public holiday): 5 December. Also celebrated as Father’s Day and National Day.
  • Constitution Day (public holiday): 10 December
  • New Year’s Eve (public holiday): 31 December
