Save the date for Thailand’s events and festivals 2024
The Tourism Authority of Thailand is thrilled to announce exciting events and trade fairs scheduled to take place in 2024! TAT Stockholm will be a part of the following events and trade fairs to showcase the vibrant of Thailand's diverse destinations, local experiences, and cultural offerings, with the aim of attracting travellers from both Scandinavian and Baltic countries to visit Thailand with Meaningful experiences.
Beyond these tourism events, Thailand bursts with a rich calendar of festivals, celebrations, and sport events throughout the year. As you plan your itinerary, it's worth considering these captivating events to immerse yourself in the heart of Thai culture and traditions. Some events, such as Songkran (Thai New Year), are celebrated nationwide and have fixed dates, and together with Buddhist holidays. To help you plan your 2024 Thailand adventure, here's a sneak peek at some of the highlights:
December 2023
- Vijit Chao Phraya 2023: From now until 31 December 2023 : Bangkok
An extravagant light event nights with light-and-sound shows, projection mappings, fireworks display, and cultural performances along the Chao Phraya River; Rama VIII Bridge, Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), Wichai Prasit Fort, Memorial Bridge (Phra Phuttha Yodfa Bridge), River City Bangkok.
- Amazing Thailand Countdown 2024: Ring in the New Year with a dazzling array of festivities across the country. Main highlight events : Wat Arun in Bangkok (31 December 2023) and the ‘Korat Winter Festival and Countdown 2024’ in Nakhon Ratchasima (29-31 December 2023)

- Poy Sang Long Festival: held at various locations around north Thailand, particularly in Mae Hong Son (late March/early April).
