The Norwegian toy stores chain Ringo has embarked on a major investment in digital signage. First and foremost the intention is to modernise the stores and make them more attractive to customers. The chain also wishes to be able to promote campaign products efficiently. ZetaDisplay has already begun the roll-out, which covers 100 stores.

The Ringo chain uses centralized purchasing, product ranges, marketing, retailing data and store activities. With the aid of ZetaDisplay’s newly established subsidiary in Norway the chain is now investing in digital signage. The aim is to strengthen Ringo’s marketing by informing customers in the stores, where they are most receptive to information.

“With digital signage the Ringo chain will become more modern, and we should be able to get customers into our stores more easily. It also creates a kind of exhibition area in the stores, where our suppliers can present their toys in a new way and show how children can use them. In addition, the displays permit us to promote our campaigns in a very effective way,” says Gro Svendsen, MD for Ringo A/S.

“We are very happy that our investment in Norway is producing results. The business with Ringo is just one of several projects in progress where we are working on methods to test and measure the effects of Digital Signage. In the case of Ringo the first tests show that the medium is working - they had to bring in greater volumes so that the toy shelves would not empty,” says Leif Liljebrunn, Deputy Managing Director for ZetaDisplay.
