Sjælland County in Denmark is expanding its mammography operations and investing in the mammography system with the market’s lowest radiation dose, Sectra MicroDose Mammography, from the IT and medical-technology company Sectra. The order value amounts to SEK 11 million (EUR 1.2 million).

Sectra’s mammography system has the lowest radiation dose on the international market.
As a result of the low radiation dose, combined with good ergonomics and a well-conceived workflow, nurses and radiologists can work more efficiently and safely without exposing women to a higher radiation dose than necessary.

“We deliver a complete solution for mammography,” says Jens Kring, Marketing Manager at Sectra A/S in Denmark. “A major source of security for women being examined using Sectra MicroDose Mammography is that the system combines the unmatched lowest radiation dose on the market with high imaging quality.”

With the new equipment in place, the County expects to nearly double the number of women called for mammography screening each year, compared with today.
