New order from Norwegian hospital: Diakonhjemmet hospital orders digital radiology from Sectra Diakonhjemmet hospital in Oslo, Norway, has signed a contract for a digital radiology system with the Swedish IT and medical technology company Sectra. The order includes Sectra's picture archive and communication system (PACS). The value of the order is approximately USD 0,6 million. "We're investing in PACS in order to increase the efficiency of our radiology department by making use of all the possibilities that modern IT-systems offer." says Finn Lilleås, Chief Radiologist at Diakonhjemmet hospital. "This means that the patient flow through the department will be more efficient and the availability of data within and between departments will be much improved. We chose Sectra's system because it has shown to be a reliable solution that we have seen works very well." The system is scheduled to be put into operation during the fall of 2001. "We see the order from Diakonhjemmet hospital as a proof of continued confidence in Sectra from the Norwegian market" says Steinar Hellum, sales- and marketing director of Sectra Norge AS.
