The Rijnland Hospital in the Netherlands has opted to switch to a total radiology IT solution provided by Sectra. The order includes a fully integrated system for managing radiology information (RIS) and a seven-year direct service and support agreement for the hospital’s existing Sectra PACS (image management system).

For several years, the Rijnland Hospital has been using Sectra PACS, and with this long-term agreement the hospital obtains a fully integrated Sectra RIS/PACS solution including all the advantages of Sectra’s timely and cost-effective service and support. Consequently, the hospital will be able to handle radiology images and related information throughout the hospital more efficiently than today.

“Sectra’s integrated IT solution with related service and support fully meets our needs”, says Martin Grob, Hospital Manager at Rijnland Hospital. “Sectra’s solution fits a modern hospital environment and its advanced system monitoring tools give us the possibility to optimize the efficiency not only of radiology workspace but throughout the entire hospital”, Martin Grob continues.

“We view the order from Rijnland Hospital as recognition of our excellence in providing efficient service and support”, says Peter Osinga, Managing Director Sectra Benelux. “We are continuing to offer direct service and support agreements to any customer who has previously purchased Sectra products through partners”, he concludes.

The Rijnland Hospital includes two hospital locations and performs 130,000 radiology examinations annually.
