Århus County in Denmark is digitizing its mammography operations and has invested in Sectra MicroDose Mammography from the IT and medical-technology company Sectra. This is Sectra’s largest mammography order to date and it amounts to DKK 12 million.

Sectra’s mammography system has the lowest radiation dose on the international market. As a result of the low radiation dose combined with good ergonomics and a well-conceived workflow, nurses and radiologists can work more efficiently and safely without exposing women to a higher radiation dose than necessary. “There are major advantages with digital mammography systems and I am looking forward to more mammography clinics following Århus County’s example in the years immediately ahead,” says Jens Kring Marketing Manager at Sectra A/S in Denmark. The mammography operations in Århus County are centralized in the hospital in Århus and the central hospital in Randers, which combined conduct approximately 9,000 clinical mammography examinations each year. About Sectra MicroDose Mammography Sectra has developed Sectra MicroDose Mammography, a mammography system dedicated to improving women’s health.
