London Trust chooses Sectra Breast Imaging PACS to improve mammography services

Report this content

The Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals Trust (BHRUT) in London has awarded the IT and medical technology company Sectra (STO: SECT B) a five-year contract to supply a breast imaging PACS. The investment will allow BHRUT to improve its services to the women participating in the Trust’s breast screening program.

The solution will facilitate fast and highly efficient reading of screening mammograms which will improve the breast screening service to the 72,000 women examined each year.

The new system will allow for seamless integration with other Sectra PACS sites through the use of cross platform workflow which enables regional sharing of images.

Sectra Breast Imaging PACS is focused on workflow and the solution has been designed around the requirements of BHRUT. Sectra PACS provides a truly multi-vendor environment where all equipment is seamlessly integrated into a single user friendly and efficient solution.
