Netherlands purchases more security from Sectra

Dutch government authorities further extending the existing framework agreement with Sectra to also include Tiger XS Office, an extension for secure desktop telephony. Besides providing secure speech and data communications, the product also features secure fax transfer.

A national adaptation, commissioned by the Dutch government, of the Tiger XS encryption terminal to the country’s security requirements has been underway since the autumn of 2004. Sectra also has a framework agreement for the supply of Tiger XS and other products and services in the Tiger family to the Dutch government. “There is significant need for secure communications and our security platform enables cost-effective solutions to be tailored to customers’ requirements. With the Tiger XS Office, we are complementing our offer with a security product that is a modern replacement for today’s cryptophones used by many countries’ government authorities and defense forces,” says Tommy Waszkiewicz, President, Sectra Communications AB. The Tiger XS Office can be used with other products from the Tiger family. Sectra Tiger Sectra Tiger is a family of products for protection of speech and data against eavesdropping. The products have been developed in cooperation with Swedish, Norwegian and Dutch defense customers, and are designed to comply with the most stringent security demands. The products included in the Tiger family have been approved by several countries’ national security agencies and accreditation bodies in Europe and NATO. The Tiger family encompasses products that facilitate the exchange of valuable and sensitive information, whether communicated from a desktop office phone, from a mobile phone while traveling, or from a tactical radio in the field. To increase user flexibility, the products operate in many types of communications networks, such as GSM, ISDN, DECT, PSTN and satellite.
