New order for Sectra MicroDose Mammography: Sectra sells digital mammography to Swedish hospital

The IT and medical technology company Sectra has received an order from Värmland County Council in Sweden for the digital mammography system, Sectra MicroDose Mammography. The order value amounts to approximately SEK 8 million.

This transaction means that the County Council will be committed to digital mammography that is safer for patients. Sectra's mammography system provides the lowest radiation dose in the international market. This is an important factor in mammography screening, where large numbers of healthy women are examined. ”In the modernization of our mammography operations, we selected Sectra as the supplier because the company offers a safe, ergonomic and efficient total solution, with a well-conceived workflow,” says Annette Andersson, Head of the radiology operations at Värmland County Council. Sectra will provide a complete digital mammography system that permits radiologists to perform their work more efficiently and safely without exposing women to a higher radiation dose than necessary. The system will be used at the Central Hospital in Karlstad. “We have a long-term and close cooperation with Värmland County Council.
