New order from Swedish hospital: Ängelholm hospital buys digital radiology from Sectra The Swedish medical technology and IT company Sectra, has signed an agreement with Ängelholm hospital in Sweden covering the digitization of its radiology department. The order includes Sectra's system for picture archive and communication (PACS) and is valued to approximately USD 1 million. Ängelholm hospital currently uses Sectra's radiology information system (RIS) and now plans to digitize its entire radiology operations. The new PACS system will be installed during spring 2002. "We´re choosing Sectra's system because it has a very high quality and we have great confidence in the people working at Sectra", says Eva Bjärtun operations manager at the radiology department of Ängelholm hospital. "Another reason is that Sectra has a highly qualified integration between PACS and RIS and that they work in close cooperation with end-users when developing their systems, which gives us the possibility to affect the future development of the system". "It's very pleasing to get the confidence to deliver PACS to Ängelholm hospital", says Herbert Grill, Sales manager at Sectra Imtec. "It shows that our existing customers are satisfied with Sectra as a supplier. Developing our systems in close cooperation with end-users enables us to meet our customers' stringent demands on quality, performance and user- friendliness".
