Sectra announces the launch of its new PACS-GuardSM service for new and existing users of Sectra’s PACS products. PACS-GuardSM provides real-time 24x7 monitoring of critical system performance and extends Sectra’s ability to provide remote service and support.

The launch customer for this new service, MidState Medical Center in Meriden, CT, USA, recently implemented PACS-GuardSM as part of a five year service, support and PACS upgrade agreement. Sectra is offering direct PACS service and support agreements to customers who have purchased Sectra’s products directly or through partners. “PACS-GuardSM is an important element in providing timely and cost-effective service and support for our customers,” noted Dr. John Goble, President of Sectra North America. “The break-fix model traditionally applied to the imaging modalities is not appropriate for mission-critical IT components. We are uniquely positioned to provide service and support to products designed and built by Sectra, whether sold by us or by others,” Dr. Goble continued. Dr. Gary Dee, MidState Medical Center’s Chairman of Radiology, noted “We trust Sectra to provide enhanced service and support and know that they will continue to innovate to build superior PACS products. PACS-GuardSM gives us confidence that we’ll be able to provide service of the highest quality to our patients and referring colleagues.” Sectra has recently signed a number of multi-year service and support agreements with customers throughout the US, including the Willis-Knighton Health System, in Shreveport, LA and Harrison Medical Center, in Bremerton, WA. Sectra’s new service offering will be showcased at the upcoming RSNA in Chicago, November 27 – December 1. Visit us in the South Building, Hall A, Booth 1356.
